New Account Director for marcusbrewster JHB

Monica Braganca, former head of Consumer and Pharmaceutical at Ogilvy PR, has been appointed as Account Director in the Johannesburg office of marcusbrewster.

An industry veteran with over 15 years’ consultancy experience, Braganca has worked with clients across all industry sectors including technology and business-to-business.   Additionally, she has been active in Social PR for several years.

Comments company chairman Marcus Brewster: “Monica is exactly the kind of multi-disciplinary executive who is driving the PR sector forward into its bright future.   As industry champions of integrated communication services, the firm doesn’t just need great PR people, it needs great all-rounders with complementary skills.   Monica’s career experience embraces everything from project management and investor presentations to marketing collaterals and twitter accounts and her client list (including Discovery, Avis, Adcock and CNN), speaks to her seniority and experience.

“We are delighted to have Monica on the team.  Her appointment signals dynamic expansion plans for our Johannesburg office,” concludes Brewster.

Says Braganca: “After six years spent at Ogilvy, the opportunity to work with Marcus, an industry leader, was very compelling.   His firm has a very strong vision for the future – both of where the industry is heading and where marcusbrewster is evolving to answer market need.   I look forward to being part of that vanguard of communication professionals”.

Outside of the office, Braganca is an extreme sports enthusiast, a passionate snowboarder and probably one of the smallest ladies you will find riding a Harley Davidson.
